Brachioplasty, also called an Arm Lift, is a plastic surgery procedure performed to improve the appearance of the upper arms. The Brachioplasty procedure is performed under either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. After you are under anesthesia and incision will be made either on the inside of the upper arm between the elbow and the armpit (this is the most common incision placement for Brachioplasty), or it may be made in the back of the arm or just in the armpit area—it just depends on the amount of reduction required to achieve the desired results.

In some cases the Brachioplasty procedure may be performed in combination with other body contouring procedures such as Liposuction or a Body Lift.
