Breast Reduction is a plastic surgery procedure that has helped many people achieve a reduce breast size. Women seek out breast reduction often due to the discomfort and pain the excess weight in the chest puts on the neck, shoulder and back.

The breast reduction procedure is performed using a couple different incision techniques:

  1. The Circular Incision – This incision goes around the areola.
  2. The Keyhold Incision – This incision goes around the areola and then down vertically to the crease of the breast in a key shape.
  3. The Anchor Incision – This incision goes around the areola and out into an anchor shape. After the breast reduction incision is made the excess tissue, fat and skin is removed and the skin closed. Sometimes the areola is moved to a higher position to achieve the best results.
